Protecting site/server from DDoS attacks

A lot of people sometimes hear about DDoS attacks. It’s when attacker create a network of computers, and every computer send data to your site/server every second or less. And then server start to lag, and after 2 minutes it will be stopped.

Attempt to block that people using web server script, like PHP not so good idea. For example, simple script  “Hello world!” will take 100% of RAM, when DDoS attack will happen. That´s why I recommend DNS filtering using Cloudflare service. It has free tariff, for basic secure its quite good!

So, as I said Cloudflare is DDoS protection service, working using DNS filtering, and big plus of that service it’s a lot of settings parameters, so you can configure it easily and how do you want. Adding your site is quite easy, so you need to sign up, then add your domain, it will scan your DNS and copy it, after that you will need to change DNS nameservers to theirs. And you have to know, that Cloudflare, will take all of your DNS data, and if you want to edit your DNS you should go to Cloudflare -> DNS. And actually when you will add, click on the button “DNS and HTTP proxy (CDN)”, it means, that all traffic will go via theirs CDN, if you didn’t click on it, Cloudflare won’t protect you. Oh yeah, and Cloudflare will hide your IP address,  nobody won’t see it (tested by myself)!

So, after that it will be hard to hack you. Maybe you liked it, if yes link is >>here<<
